Mr. Andrew Langston role covers all facets of the hospitality industry and investment, including asset management, operator selection mandates, and feasibility and market studies.
Mr. Andrew Langston provides invaluable expertise and advisory services on hotel operations, contract negotiations, investment, brand standards, and owner consultancy and relationships.
Mr. Langston was previously Vice President, Hotel Operations Asia Pacific for Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, responsible for all hotels and resorts throughout this region including business development. He was with the company for eight years, his first appointment being as Area General Manager Bintan Island. After two years he transferred to the Maldives as Assistant Vice President/Area General Manager responsible for the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India, and in April 2012 was promoted to SAVP, which included the additional responsibility of Bangkok, Koh Samui and Laos. Finally, in September of that same year he was promoted to the position of Vice President.
Mr Langston previously served twenty years with the Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts (IHG) Group and had a variety of roles including Regional General Manager for their Northern Territory portfolio (this being Crowne Plaza Darwin, Crowne Plaza Alice Springs, Holiday Inn Esplanade Darwin, Holiday Inn Darwin, Gagudju Lodge Cooinda, Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn, Yellow Water Cruises, Warradjan Cultural Centre and Kakadu Gorge and Waterfall Tours). Following that, Mr. Langston was appointed in 2006 as General Manager of the Holiday Inn Resort Regent Beach Cha-Am. A major accomplishment for him was to lead the re-branding and refurbishment of the hotel, before leaving to join Banyan Tree in 2008.
