Jones Lang LaSalle India Enables Highest LEED Certification At Bangalore

Intuit India Product Development Centre Awarded Platinum Sustainability Rating

Bangalore, 26 November 2012 - The Energy & Sustainability Services team of Jones Lang LaSalle, West Asia has successfully facilitated the LEED Certification process for Intuit India Product Development Centre for their office space at Pritech Park, Bangalore. The office building has been awarded LEED’s Platinum rating.

The certification process of the office building, with office interiors of about 41000 square feet fitted out to 200 employees, was done in a text-book manner and ensured that the application met all of the LEED criteria. LEED certification offers credible evidence of the fact that a building has been designed to meet high sustainability goals and is achieving them. LEED certification also brings with it the advantage of a formal acknowledgement of commitment to Sustainability from a widely recognized body such as the Green Building Council.

“Jones Lang LaSalle’s ESS team worked in close conjunction with its Project & Development Services division on this mandate,” says Rajat Malhotra, COO – Integrated Facilities Management (West Asia) Jones Lang LaSalle India. “Our long-standing expertise in helping companies to meet high sustainability standards ensured that the facility achieves the best possible Green Rating under LEED Commercial Interiors from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).”

Jones Lang LaSalle was mandated to deliver to Intuit a sustainable office project that is fully optimized for energy and water consumption and offers a superior and healthy work environment to the employees. Through this office, Intuit underlines its commitment to the cause of sustainability.

“The LEED Platinum (CI) is the highest possible certification awarded by the USGBC and serves to recognize an outstanding commitment demonstrated to sustainability,” says Vijay Anand, Vice President, India Development Centre, Intuit India. “At Intuit, the focus has been on creating an eco-system that fosters a sense of caring for others by giving back to our community and environment.”

“The certification of Intuit’s India Development Centre is a testament to our on-going efforts of harnessing technology to create a great place to work and reduce our carbon footprint. This new facility supplements our on-going efforts in providing a conducive work environment for our employees and also gives them great pride about their workplace.”
