Jones Lang LaSalle unlocks development land for landowners with New Zealand’s largest industrial developer

Highbrook Business Park, Auckland
Development Advisory, Transaction Management and Project Leasing

Highbrook is recognised as one of New Zealand’s largest comprehensive industrial business park development opportunities. Since the mid 1990’s the Jones Lang LaSalle Valuation & Advisory team were engaged by the Fisher Family Trust as owners of Ra Ora Stud farm to assist in the valuation of the former stud farm and preliminary feasibility of a change of use to an integrated business park. This included on-going consultancy advice in evaluating the project with master planning and development realisation.
The Fisher Family Trust, under the guidance of Sir Noel Robinson, set about rezoning the land, obtaining motorway access and designing an award winning high quality Business Park, with the potential to accommodate 15,000 workers in 550,000sqm of commercial and industrial development.
In 2004 Jones Lang LaSalle assisted in the negotiation of the sale of a 75% interest in the now renamed Highbrook development to Goodman Group and Goodman Property Trust. Jones Lang LaSalle’s involvement in Highbrook continues to this day with the following achievements:

  • Project Management of the integrated base build and fit out design, procurement and construction for Corporate Express’ NZ head office.
  • Design build leasing of Highbrook by Jones Lang LaSalle includes:
    • Stanley Black and Decker: 3,850sqm
    • Scalzo Food Industries: 4,450sqm
    • Corporate Express: 9,300sqm
    • Viridian: 6,276sqm
