BearingPoint won the Nikkei New Office award at the 21st Best of New Offices Awards sponsored by the Nikkei and Japan’s New Office Promotion Association.
Out of over 130 national entrants, whereby this programme acknowledges creative solutions that deliver comfort, efficiency and productivity in office design; 13 were granted Nikkei New Office Awards. We planned an influencing role in delivering this award winning outcome through their appointment for full project management services. This included project planning, design, construction management and monitoring of this fit-out project.
The office was designed to create an environment which would generate active communication and lively collaboration between employees as well as customers. Totally 6,451 sq ft, the design provided an array of options from brainstorming sessions to zero distraction. Divided into five zones, the area consists of client meeting rooms, workstations, focus area, discussion spaces and relaxation area.
In the discussion spaces, the curved tables can be flexibly arranged to accommodate group size or team activity, allowing multiple meetings to be carried out simultaneously. Four enclosed discussion rooms are also available to offer privacy for more confidential discussions. Other measures were undertaken to increase the ambience and reduce tension, such as the cafe and ‘beach’ concept relaxation cum terrace area.
